How CRR's money-back guarantee works.

This is a conditional refund promise on specified guaranteed packages. It is not a promise that the Department of Justice will approve an application or that every client qualifies for a refund.

A successful claim must satisfy all eight requirements.

This summary is written for clarity. The current Terms & Conditions remain the controlling version if there is any difference.

Official denial

Provide an official Department of Justice letter confirming that the eligible conviction or convictions cannot be removed.

No new criminal matter

No other arrest or conviction during the relevant ten-year period or while the expungement process is underway.

No sexual offence

The client must not have a sexual-related criminal conviction in their lifetime.

No direct imprisonment

No past conviction may include direct imprisonment without the option of a fine.

Fine threshold

No past conviction may carry a fine, or option of a fine, exceeding R20,000.

Full disclosure

All relevant information and required documents must have been disclosed and provided.

Accurate information

No false, incomplete or inaccurate case information, undisclosed conviction or probation issue may have been supplied.

No interference

The client must not interfere with the application CRR was instructed to prepare or manage.

Refund handling

What a successful claim provides.

The terms provide for the amount paid for the guaranteed package to be refunded, capped at R6,000, within 60 days of a submitted claim. A credit note is the default and may be converted to EFT on request, subject to verification requirements.

Four important answers.

Does CRR guarantee approval?

No. The guarantee concerns a conditional refund. Government authorities control approval and final processing.

Does it apply to every package?

No. It applies only to packages specifically sold as guaranteed. Confirm this in writing before payment.

Is the refund unlimited?

No. The current terms cap the guaranteed-package refund at R6,000.

Are the eight conditions optional?

No. The current terms state that every listed condition must be satisfied for a successful claim.
