Can CRR tell me whether I may qualify?

Yes. Start with our free 60-second eligibility test for an immediate initial result. If your circumstances need a closer look, our team can review the conviction, sentence and dates with you.

How long does the process take?

The Department of Justice currently advises approximately 60 working days once it receives a complete application. Obtaining the required records, the SAPS Criminal Record Centre stage and government backlogs can extend the overall timeline. We will explain the likely stages for your application before you proceed.

Can you help me obtain a criminal-record report?

Yes. CRR can assist with a current criminal-record check and the supporting process. See the Starter Pack or ask our team which option fits your circumstances.

Do I need to visit a CRR office?

Usually not. Most of the process can be completed online through your secure dashboard. If fingerprints are needed, you can use one of our 510+ locations across South Africa.

Which payment methods are available?

The secure checkout shows the payment methods currently available for the package selected. If none of those methods works for you, contact us before paying and we will explain the alternatives.

Will I need to appear at a government office?

Most clients do not need to appear in person at the Department of Justice. Requirements can differ by record and application route, so we will flag any exceptional step during the assessment.

Can I apply while living outside South Africa?

Yes, if the record is South African. Documents and fingerprint arrangements may differ when you are overseas, so tell us your current country when you contact us and we will outline the practical options.

Can I use a criminal-record report I already have?

Possibly. Upload it securely and we will confirm whether it is recent enough, contains the required information and was issued at the correct stage for your application. Using a suitable existing report can avoid unnecessary duplication.
